Whole Wheat Focaccia Bread
You all know my love for baking bread at home from my array of bread post in my blog. So far i have tried so many versions of bread like100% Whole Wheat Bread,White Bread,Multi Grain Bread. And i went a little fancy and made aHomemade Panettone&Focaccia Bread. So far everything turned out so beautiful and they all been my favourite ones.

This is a whole wheat version and it turned out pretty good. This is great for sandwiches. Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..
Ingredients for Whole Wheat Focaccia Bread
- Whole Wheat Flour / Atta - 2 cups
- Warm Water - ¾ cup to 1 cup
- Dry Yeast - 1 tsp
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Honey or Sugar - 1 tbsp
- Olive Oil - 1 tbsp + 3 tbsp
- Oregano -1 tsp
- Parmesan Cheese a handful (optional)
How to make Whole Wheat Focaccia Bread
- Take warm water in a bowl, and sprinkle over honey and yeast and set aside for 5 mins.
- Once it is activated, add in flour and salt and mix well to a soft dough.
- Now drizzle some oil over and cover with a plastic wrap and put this somewhere warm till the dough is doubled in size.
- Once it is doubled in size, punch the air dough and knead it well.
- Now Place the dough in a greased baking dish, do not spread the dough. set this aside for few hours , in which time the dough will spread on its own.
- In the last 10 mins, preheat your oven to 190 degree C.
- once it is well risen, use your fingers to create some indention on the dough.
- Now drizzle it with some oil and sprinkle over oregano and parmesan cheese.
- Now bake this for 15 to 16 mins till golden.
- Remove it and cool it for few mins in tin and remove onto a wire rack and cool down.
- Slice and serve.

@Aswiniu can store this tightly wrapped with a plastic wrap for 4 to 5 days in fridge and a month in freezer

1. How long do you knead it for?
2. How long do you let it rise (both the times)?
3. What is the temperature in which it needs to be baked?
4. I don't know if it's my oven (though it works fine making pizzas), but I've already let the bread bake for over 20 minutes and it's still not baked. And the olive oil is sort of floating on the sides.
5. Also my oven has the option of choosing baking from top, bottom, both, sides. I did both. But if looks far from ready!!Reply

Does fry yeast refer to active dry yeast or instant dry yeast?
