2 ingredient Pizza Dough Recipe (1)

This is such a great recipe if you love pizza, but not all that kneading and rising which goes into the yeast type dough. It makes a perfect quick weekday dinner or use this crust for a weekend breakfast pizza. Top with scrambled eggs, sausage and tomatoes, easy and so delicious.

Keep in mind however that this crust does not crisp, it is more of a soft, fluffy type of crust. Topped with your favorite toppings, and baked ….so much better than store bought.

2 ingredient Pizza Dough Recipe (3)

This dough is made with 2 basic ingredients, self-raising flour and plain unflavored yoghurt or buttermilk. It is just mixed in a bowl and gathered together to form a soft dough.

If you do not have self-raising flour, then make your own by just adding 1 ¼ teaspoons of baking powder to each cup of flour.

Leave the mixed dough in a bowl for about 15 minutes. Leaving the dough to rest will make it easier to roll out.

Take this time to prepare the sauce and toppings you prefer and grate the cheese for your pizza.

After 15 minutes, divide the dough into two equal pieces. On a floured surface, Roll out each piece into about a 10 inch / 25 cm circle. Place each of the rolled out dough onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Alternately dust a teaspoon of polenta or semolina onto a pizza pan before placing the rolled out dough onto it.

Pinch the edges and top with pesto or sauce and ingredients of your choice.

Bake for 12 minutes in a preheated oven of 400°F / 200° C

Give this recipe a try the next time you want to make pizza and I can bet that it will become your favorite too

This is brilliant! Who has time to wait around for hours for the dough to rise? I'm going to try this one soon! Have a great weekend, Ashika!

Much easier than my pizza dough recipe and that's a good thing. Self-raising flour is a bit of a novelty here and difficult to find. I just make my own up and always have it around for making American type biscuits. I'm anxious to try this, as it resembles a flatbread I make, I just never thought of making pizza with it.
