Calvin and Evelyn- do these names sound too similar? Or is it cute that they’re similar? Lol I can’t decide. My husband thinks it would be cute to have the kids have similar sounding names like that but I’m not 100% convinced. Something about them both having a v and then ending in the “in” sound

I would say they don’t sound oddly similar. I notice the -in ending but I feel like the “v”s are in unique places. My mom had my brother Jonathan and my sisters Allison and Madison and I would say I never really thought too much about it.
I also may be bias because I love both of those names. And they sound really cute together, more so since the names sound cute when said together rather than then sounding the same if that makes sense.

@HaleyBroadski21,
thank you, this is helpful!! We’ve been debating between Lucy and Evelyn for baby girl, hubby is leaning toward Evelyn and I’ve been very in the middle!

Oh my goodness Lucy would be adorable too! Either way, their names will sound amazing together.

I don't think so! my sister's kids are Evelyn and Rylan, which sound similar but I never thought anything of it!
I personally have this same question because my daughter's name is Avery and I really like the name Rory for a boy. (Still don't know the gender)

I love both names and think they go great together and are not too rhyme-y. Plus, if Evelyn ends up being nicknamed Evie, it sounds cute alongside Calvin too! Lucy and Calvin is precious too, of course!
