There is a very obvious distinction between these two cases.

The cases decided several years ago arose out of taxation by a state officer of a cargo of coal brought into Louisiana by a ship. A BLACKSMITH SAVES THE LIFE OF A LITTLE Carney was perhaps as near leaving this world as anyone can be, to recover. She was sick with cholera morbus; completely exhausted and unconscious. The physicians in consultation decided the case was hopeless and beyond their control. Charles J. Newcomb, a blacksmith, walked four miles through the darkness and storm, to get a remedy he had himself used, and which he firmly believed would cure her.

That medicine was Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy, He obtained part of a bottle, with which he hastily-returned, and gave the little sufferer a half teaspoon fall, which relieved her and consciousness gradually returned. The medicine was given in broken dose and in a short time she was well, lie is positive that it saved her life, and has others in that vicinity, by fi. R.
