We did a small cake for just the two of us! I handed the envelope with gender info to my sister and she ordered the cake for us from a local bakery with the right colored filling.

I'm so glad we kept the gender reveal to just ourselves—it was such a special moment.

My husband & I did the same thing, but gave the envelope to our photographer & then went to take pictures in real time of our reactions.

I learned the gender (a girl) and then planned the reveal for just my husband. Had him go in the other room and then had “My Girl” start playing on the stereo and strawberry lemonade in champagne flutes when he came back out.

I bought smoke bombs in pink and blue. I asked the nurse to put the color we need in a separate bag which she happily did and she also added an envelope with the gender so we could verify we had the right color. We went to a local park to have some trees in the background and lite them off. I setup my phone on a tripod and recorded the whole thing so we could share it with friends and family. I bought a few extra smoke sticks so we could take some pictures after the fact. I love watching our video and looking at our pictures ��
