He was a beloved husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Robert was born on July 12, 1932, in Baldwin, New York to Herbert and Margaret (Phillips) Eversmann and, with his older sister Jane, grew up in Baldwin, New York on Long Island. He attended the Valley Forge Military Academy preparatory school in Wayne, PA and graduated from the University of Virginia in 1954.
