What happens if you decline Dave the Diver? ›

Cobra will tell Dave about the sushi restaurant he wants to open with his sushi chef friend and ask him to join the operation. You can accept or decline his offer, but it doesn't make much difference. Either way, you're off to the sushi bar.

Does Dave The Diver Have An Ending? Dave the Diver does have a narrative ending. After completing Chapter Seven, you'll witness the final chapter titled Epilogue: Friends, which shows what happens with all the fun characters you met during the course of the game. Completing the game unlocks the Space Diver minigame.

Enhancing a dish will increase its base stats, meaning it will become more expensive and have a higher Best Taste Rank. Enhancing a dish will cause the ingredients used for enhancement to disappear. Go through your menu and find your dishes with the highest base Best Taste stat and then enhance one until it's over 125.

Dave the Diver is a great game for people who like adventure games with a cozy feel. It has non-bloody combat, rewarding exploration, and an upgrade system that feels more akin to what you can find in a traditional action-adventure title, and running the restaurant feels like its own separate simulation.

Note that you can stay on the dive for as long as you're able to refill your air; there is no arbitrary time limit.

Any dishes not sold are wasted - you don't get the dish or the materials for them back. At the end of the night, all unsold but prepared (on the menu) sushi is discarded. You do not recover it.

When focusing on the main objectives, Dave the Diver is about 24½ Hours in length. If you're a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 46½ Hours to obtain 100% completion.

When it came to my playthrough, which dabbled in all aspects of the game and the mini-games contained within, I was able to roll credits in around 25 hours. That includes the completion of the main story and the various side-quests that crop up as you continue exploring the depths of the Blue Hole.

Lusca is a medium depths fish and an optional boss in Dave the Diver.

Dave the Diver's best weapon is the Steel Net Gun, which is an upgrade to the Small Net Gun. Blasting out an area-of-effect shot that wraps up any fish caught within its threads, the Small Net Gun can be used to capture whole schools of fish without damaging their precious fish.

Maki. Maki is the first employee you hire, and she's the best cook you'll have access to throughout the rest of the game.

You can avoid the tentacles by making sure you keep moving. Once you're in close, aim your Red Sniper Rifle at its eye, and fire. Once you get a hit, the Squid will blow you back again. Use this opportunity to gather some ammo or air if you need it, and then head back to the Squid, making sure to dodge his tentacles.

This aquatic adventure RPG is wholesome, wonderfully complex, and delightfully hard to put down.

After one final cutscene and a short credits sequence that unlocks the Space Diver minigame on your phone, you'll have completed Dave the Diver. You'll still be able to venture back to the Giant Blue Hole anytime you like, however, and catch more fish, finish up any remaining quests, and unlock anything you missed.

Digital deluxe edition doesn't have any game content other than a boat skin apparently, but I'm guessing you know that already. Game's worth it even if you're just going for the storyline. This is one of the very few games I kept playing after getting all achievements.

Diving for fish and treasures can be tense because you also have to fend off fearsome sharks and not run out of oxygen, while running the restaurant is a frantic but satisfying rush of filling orders and raking in cash. But you can never really lose — if you mess up a day, there's always the next one.

Dave must avoid posting too many Recipes to the Menu, because unsold Dishes are discarded and the Ingredients wasted - furthermore, removing a Recipe from the Menu causes the remaining Dishes and Ingredients, if any, to be discarded.

Yeah anything that doesn't get sold gets thrown out. Try making less than you need and setting everything to autorefill. Even 1 of each dish can be enough this way. Dishes that have multiple servings you may not want to autorefill at times, it depends.

Watch Oxygen Levels Closely When Diving

As is probably to be expected, players only have access to a finite amount of oxygen when diving in the Blue Hole. Run out of this, and Dave will, well, die.
